Camelia Locarno
Created in early 2015 to celebrate Locarno as a City of Taste, the Camelia Locarno chocolate was officially presented on 16 May at the Swiss Pavilion of Milan Expo 2015, to an international audience. Since then, it has become one of the most cherished creations of Pasticceria Marnin.
Its shape is inspired by the camellia, the flower that is a symbol of the city of Locarno and its mild, blossoming landscape. Inside, white chocolate is blended with the finest Matcha tea from Camellia Sinensis — cultivated at the Monte Verità plantation in Ascona — bringing the essence of the Far East to every bite. A delicate touch of jasmine blossom echoes the beauty of the flower, while a ginger jelly adds an exotic and surprising finish.
